My Thursday group finished our book, Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World, http://www.amazon.com/Having-Mary-Heart-Martha-World/dp/1578562589 The book has been wonderful for all of us to recognize both roles of Mary and Martha in the bible, how Jesus spoke to them, and how they changed. The bottom line is we can be a little Mary and a little Martha. As Joanna Weaver states “good things rarely come easy” so we need to persevere! We all want to be able to give a testimony but rarely want to live the process.
This week when you are in a rush, frazzled or struggling in some way, stop, act and talk (SAT)
1. Stop and get a hold of your inner Mary! Go to Jesus’ feet and take comfort knowing that God has a plan for you. God’s plan is not always our plan. Stop and turn your worries, angers, and anxieties over to God right now.
2. Act by praying! The power of prayer is amazing. Don’t be afraid to ask friends or your church group to pray for you.
3. Talk it out with someone. You are not alone!
Look to the Lord and his strength; see his face always.–Chronicles 16:11
