As I reflect on this Lenten season, I am reminded of my many blessings. Being a single mom with teenagers may seem like there is unending stress and worry but with friends, family and most importantly faith anything is possible.
I am so grateful for my kids. They are healthy, smart, and funny. They are meandering through life as typical teenagers/young adults trying to fit in and figure out how to make good decisions and how to overcome bad decisions. I have a great family and fabulous friends who support me in all situations and want nothing but the best for my future. Most of all, I am blown away by my faith. A faith that has evolved over the last 16 years after I converted to Catholicism and took the Alpha Course, https://www.alpha.org/ I owe that faith to GOD who sacrificed his son for us so that we could have our sins wiped away over and over.
Jesus has risen today! AMEN! This is how I RISE:)
Rest in HIM-Resting in HIM may seem hard, but is a must! Schedule 5 minutes a day to start.
Include HIM-Include HIM in everything. While driving, before meetings, when you are scared and after achievements, ALWAYS!
Speak to HIM-Speak to HIM during the day (and in the middle of the night).
Edify HIM-Edifying HIM means to learn more about, build up or uplift. Like any good relationship we need to know HIM.
Have a blessed week!
They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together 34 and saying, “It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.”–Luke 24:33-34
Speckled Malted Coconut Cake
YUM! This is pretty easy to make. Just a little messy to decorate.
