Ginger Turmeric Oatmeal with Coconut Milk It’s cold today and I may have a cold brewing. This oatmeal hit the spot. I used fresh ginger and turmeric for a great taste and it warmed me right up. Coconut milk added a nice flavor and I topped with pea protein! . . . . . . . #oats #coconutmilk #ginger #turmeric #peaprotein #thatswhatsforbreakfast #frommypantry #breakfast #quakeroats #traderjoescoconutmilk #traderjoes @traderjoes @quaker @vega_team #noaddedsugar #nosugaradded #brekkie #itsmyemptynesterlife #brown852 -1/2 C Old Fashioned Quaker Oats -1/2 Trader Joe’s Organic Coconut Milk 1/2 C water 1/2 t fresh turmeric, chopped 1/2 t fresh ginger, chopped I seem to think of good ideas after I start cooking. So if I did this again I would start with milk and oil and steep the turmeric and ginger and then add the oatmeal. This is what I did today. 1. Add all ingredients except pea protein and bring to a boil. 2. Cook for about 5-6 minutes. I like my oatmeal a smidge al dente and I didn’t let all the liquid dry up. 3. Stir a lot toward 4 minute mark until it is creamy;) 4. Spoon into bowl and add protein
