Happy 2020! Wow, it’s been a while! It is scary how life takes over and things I loved doing at one time sit in the near distance for a while and then fade away and out of my memory:/
I don’t know about guys but I don’t normally make a new year’s resolution. This year, however, I did. Well, sort of. I am afraid to call it a resolution for fear of failure so I am just going to call it a goal. I feel like with a goal even if I try hard but don’t get 100% success it’s a win for trying. So my goal for 2020 is no shopping. I am SO SORRY @Target 😦 Oh how I will miss buying from you!
My reason is simple. I don’t really need anything and I want to buy a house. I have my complete trust and faith in God planning all of this because right now my mind is a blurry, overwhelming mess trying to organize HOW!
So, I decided to make these cookies. Cooking and baking brings me peace and calm and that is another goal for this year. Plus it brings joy if I share. Another good goal! I started doing yoga again a few weeks ago so I will continue with yoga and walking my dogs to stay fit, calm, peaceful and joyful all year. Back to the cookies they are easy and only have a few ingredients as you will see below.
I hope you have a great new year! Set 1 or 2 goals and go for it! Trying counts! YOU CAN DO IT!
But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.— 2 Chronicles 15:7
Chewy Nut Butter Cookies
These cookies only have a few ingredients and come together easily. I used my Vitamix. They are soft even after the 30 minutes of resting. I probably could have cooked a tad longer but my bottoms are brownish. I don’t like the taste of burnt peanut butter so chose to take out after 10 min plus I have a blistering hot oven.
